BEHIND THE MOVEMENT 

Nancy's journey in dance began in the most humble of settings—a local recreation center. It was here that she discovered her passion for movement and expression, dedicating herself to the craft despite limited resources. By the age of 15, she was already sharing her love for dance with others, working as an assistant teacher at the same recreation center where she first began.
Her talent and determination did not go unnoticed, and she was soon awarded a scholarship to train at the Debbie Reynolds Rehearsal Studio in Los Angeles. Following this, attended college as a dance major and soon joined a pre-professional dance company under the direction of Regina Klenjoski. However, her aspirations led her to move to Europe, where she continued her training at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, Austria. During her time there, she also participated in the esteemed ImPulsTanz Festival, and trained at various local dance studios. 
In addition Nancy launched a dance program at the American International School in Vienna. After several years abroad, she returned to Los Angeles, where she resumed teaching at local recreation centers. Her classes became highly popular, with sessions attracting up to 175 students at a time. Over 17 years, Nancy’s work profoundly impacted many children, particularly those from inner-city communities. 
After returning to Los Angeles in 2010, she began teaching yoga and dance with an emphasis on children. Her approach, grounded in Ashtanga yoga and classical ballet, nurtures creativity and confidence in young learners. By sharing her knowledge with authenticity and care, she encourages children to explore their potential and develop a positive mindset.

 

Nancy's journey has beautifully evolved from teaching dance to embracing motherhood and the practice of yoga. There was a calling that drew her back to the classroom. After completing Foundation Studies the Waldorf School of Orange County, she spent two transformative years as an assistant. By blending love for the arts with her dedication to nurturing young minds, Nancy creates enriching educational experiences that empower her students and inspire a profound sense of possibility and boundlessness.
